Well, OK, it wasn't exactly going out of the country, but we did get out of town and went to see the "Glass on Glass" exhibit at the Royal Botanical Garden (Burlington, ON) in the Mediterranean Garden. It was a sunny day under a glass greenhouse among plant species that grow in the Mediterranean; one could almost smell the sea!
